Don - With an obvious passion for cricket, Don has achieved his dream of recreating a 'village green' english cricket ground in the heart of the Australian bush. Don played most of his cricket with the Camberwell Cricket Club and has journeyed to the UK and New Zealand on cricket tours with his old school, Haileybury College, the Melbourne Cricket Club and most recently with the International Fellowship of Cricket Loving Rotarians. Having carved the Hume and Hovell Cricket Ground out of a paddock, he lives to see the ground come alive through matches played by people who share his love and appreciation of cricket in beautiful surrounds with tranquil ambience.
Don has just been named Bush Poet of the Year for the second time by the Kyabram Lions Club. www.thebushballadeer.com

Gretchen McQueen - "One of my favourite pastimes is sitting in the sun with friends, watching a game of cricket at Strath Creek. Mum and Dad have created something special here. Much of the character of the grounds in England is reflected here; the slope of the oval, the roses, the pavilion, the scones with jam and cream, the picket fence and yet here we are surrounded by gum trees, kangaroos, cockatoos and wombats…it is really unique."
Angus McQueen - loves his golf and running his business - "McQueen Financial". Married to the beautiful Sara.
Marney McQueen - Currently writing and rehearsing for her new show "Sunburnt Country" on at Chapel off Chapel for the Melbourne Comedy festival. www.marneymcqueen.com |
